Man dies after stabbing his mother, jumping off parking structure at El Camino College

A man was found dead on Friday after allegedly stabbing his mother and jumping off a parking structure at El Camino College in Torrance. Police responded around 5:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a domestic altercation near the parking structure on Stadium Way and Redondo Beach Boulevard. According to the campus police, the violent incident involved a former male student who stabbed his mother multiple times before fleeing to Parking Lot H, where he reportedly jumped to his death from the top floor, landing near the softball field. The mother was rushed to Harbor UCLA Medical Center in critical condition. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has taken over the investigation, with assistance from the Torrance Police Department.
